En el cine de accion hay un nombre que marco un
antes y un despues, ese nombre es el de: Sam Peckinpah; de él se podra decir que fue muchas cosas, pero que fue un mal director, jamas; él sí que supo plasmar como nadie las escenas de accion, con aquellos tiroteos ralentizados y esos agujeros de bala de donde manaba sangre que lo salpicaba todo. Asi era y es el cine de Peckinpah. Ademas de toda la parafernalia tecnica, él se encargo de mostrarnos unos mundos de lo mas sordidos, fiel reflejo de la época en la que vivia, con personajes que son totalmente unos perdedores, para nada triunfadores, demostrandonos asi con esos personajes, con los que uno bien podria terminar encariñandose, pero solo con algunos, no con todos, que a veces la vida es un gran pañuelo sucio. Asi es, en el cine de Peckinpah todo era gris y triste, ademas de rojo color sangre. En esta oportunidad, Peckinpah nos presenta una pelicula mitad road movie, mitad western, con un delineado de personajes ya clasico: personas comunes y marginales, conviviendo en un mundo que es una porqueria, junto a aquellos, que, a pesar de estar llenos de plata, demu-
estran ser peores que los propios marginales; al comienzo de la pelicula, se ve como un terrateniente mexicano, interpretado por el magistral Emilio Fernandez, gran amigo de Sam Peckinpah esta dispuesto a llegar hasta las ultimas consecuencias, con tal de encontrar a aquel que embarazo a su hija, sin importarle nada, aun sin con ello debe golpear
a su propia hija con tal de que esta le diga el nombre del padre de la criatura. El terrateniente, una vez que le es proporcionado el nombre, un tal Alfredo Garcia, se encargara de contratar a alguien para que lo encuentre y le traiga la cabeza, de ahi el titulo, pagando por la realizacion de tal trabajo, la nada despreciable suma de un millon de dolares; quién se ha ocupar de encontrar tal preciado articulo, no es otro mas que Bennie, interpretado por el actor Warren Oates. Lo que no sabe Bennie, es que no sera él, el unico que ande tras la busqueda de tal preciado objeto.

Traiganme... fue filmada en un periodo en donde Peckinpah no se llevaba bien con la industria cinematografica, la misma le tenia un poco de recelo, ya que con su anterior pelicula, Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid, perteneciente al año 1973, no le habia ido nada bien, es asi que aqui se puede notar, durante toda la pelicula, un cierto aire de desesperanza; ademas, aqui, el director muestra la cara de un Mexico pobre, triste, decadente, lo cual, le trajo algun que otro problema con el gobierno mexicano. Al igual que en sus anteriores trabajos, en esta obra se encuentra
el tema de la amistad, y Peckinpah, con unas pocas escenas, muestra como nadie el amor que se tienen dos seres marginales como lo son Bennie y su novia.
Como datos curiosos, hay que decir de que esta es la unica pelicula de Peckinpah, que tiene el corte del director, mientras que todas las otras
fueron cortadas por los productores;
el tema de la amistad, y Peckinpah, con unas pocas escenas, muestra como nadie el amor que se tienen dos seres marginales como lo son Bennie y su novia.

para llevar a cabo su papel, el actor Warren Oates, copio al propio Sam Peckinpah, incluso, los anteojos de sol que lleva en la pelicula, son del propio Peckinpah, Oates se los pidio prestados; Gig Young aparece en la pelicula, en el bar donde Oates toca el piano, cuando él y Robert Webber se van, Oates le pregunta su nombre a Young, aquél le dice que se llama: ¨Fred C. Dobbs ¨, dicho nombre hace referencia al personaje de Humphrey Bogart de la pelicula El Tesoro de Sierra Madre ( The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, 1948 ) dirigida por John Huston.
