La Hora del Espanto ( Fright Night, 1985 ) dirigida por Tom Holland, pelicula que revoluciono el concepto en materia de vampiros y todo gracias a Tom Holland. ¿ Por què lo revoluciono ? Muy simple. Su propuesta: tener a un vampiro como vecino. Y eso, solo el punto de partida; luego estan los actores: Chris Sarandon, quien de peliculas de terror sabe bastante, ya que ha trabajado en unas cuantas, como por ejemplo: El Centinela ( The Sentinel ), de Michael Lerman, o, The Resurrected , por solo nombrar un par, hace aqui el papel del vecino vampiro, que tiene a mal traer a Charley Brewster ( William Ragsdale ), el adolescente que lo descubre; quien, por suerte, se vera ayudado por el inigualable cazador de vampiros Peter Vincent, interpretado aqui por el genial Roddy McDowall, quien ha trabajado en varias peliculas, ademàs de series para televisiòn, como la inolvidable El Planeta de los Simios, al igual que en sus peliculas, com datito, Holland a la hora de buscar el nombre para su personaje, utilizo el nombre de Peter, por el actor Peter Cushing, y el Vincent, por el actor Vincent Price ; entre los dos intentaran, por todos los medios, de liquidar al vampiro y salvar a la bella dama en apuros, la novia de Charley, Amy, interpretada por Amanda Bearse, a quien pudimos ver en la serie: Married with Children, quién es raptada por el malvado. En esta su pelicula debut, Holland, desde el principio hasta el fin, logra mantener el ritmo, y transformar a una pelicula, que parece de adolescentes, en algo serio y que da miedo; en su momento, Tom Holland dijo: " La genesis para La Hora del Espanto ( Fright Night, 1985 ), fue mi deseo de actualizar la pelicula de 1917 " The Boy Who Cried Wolf ", ademas le tengo un tremendo cariño a las historias de vampiros, entonces fue que me parecio que aquellos dos intereses, bien podrían combinar para un libreto ". Es por eso que vale la pena conseguir y ver esta pelicula, siendo o no Halloween. Antes de terminar, recuerden que su vecino bien puede ser un vampiro, tengan cuidado.

The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

¡ Que pelicula ! ¡ Que obra ! Desde ya la recomiendo. Aqui, podemos apreciar como es que el Señor Sellers llegaba a la creacion de sus personajes, cómo es que dió con la personalidad de el inspector Clouseau, realmente magistral; lastima que la pelicula se detiene mucho en los momentos malos de su vida, deberia haber seguido por el lado de la creaciòn, por que despues de todo, quièn no ha tenido momentos malos en su vida. Podemos apreciar la peculiar manera en que se llevaba con Blake Edwards. Apartandonos un poco de eso, merece una felicitaciòn la admirable actuaciòn, de quien lleva la encomiable misiòn de dar vida a Peter Sellers: Geoffrey Rush. Por cierto, todo un actor. Aqui nos deleita, no solo interpretando a Sellers, sino que, ademàs, interpreta varios personajes mas. ¡ De lujo ! Para ir terminando, por ahora, os dejo la ficha del gran Peter Sellers.
